Assistant Principal

Sania Zaffar joined District 63 in 2023 as a Special Education Teacher at Nelson Elementary School and became the assistant principal at Washington in 2024. She previously held special education teacher positions with District 116’s Yankee Ridge Elementary and Urbana High School, as well as TrueNorth Educational Cooperative 805’s North Shore Academy Elementary.

Assistant Principal Zaffar holds a master's degree in education policy and leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an educational specialist degree from National Lewis University. She earned her B.A. in special education from Loyola University.
